Halloween Extravaganza to Benefit Westport Animal Shelter Advocates (WASA)

Earth Animal, a natural pet products store at 606 Post Rd.
E. in Westport, is scaring up a good time on Sunday, Oct. 27 from 10-5pm. Their
"Halloween Extravaganza" will feature something for everyone.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to Westport Animal Shelter Advocates
(WASA), an organization that cares and advocates for homeless dogs. WASA will
use the funds generated at this exciting event for veterinary costs and
supplies needed for impounded (Westport Animal Control) and foster dogs in its
care. For more information about WASA, visit www.westportwasa.org
and/or contact the organization via wasa1@optonline.net or (203)
557-0361.  Candy for kids and fresh baked dog
treats will be handed out for all that come in costume!  Prizes will be awarded to dogs in costume:  1st Prize for Most Creative
Costume, 2nd Prize for Funniest Costume and 3rd Prize for
best Combo (Kids & Dogs together).   There will be raffle prizes, balloon art and
face painting to entertain the children.
Ashley Hart and Amy Strife from Book-A-Cook will be on hand and serving
up yummy concoctions from their hot chocolate bar.  Sarah Fox of the Foodie Fox blog will be
selling delicious dog-themed cookies (people cookies, that is) to benefit
WASA.  To really set the mood, WASA
volunteers will also be selling delectable caramel apples.  Additionally, attendees can meet and learn
about wonderful dogs looking for their forever homes.  Professional
photographer Pam Einarsen will be taking photos and donating all of the
proceeds to WASA.  Please call Earth Animal at (203)222-7173 to schedule a
time for your photo session.
