Shore Walk at Compo Beach

Discover the fascinating world of marine invertebrate creatures and learn how these critters are able to survive the rigorous conditions where the land meets the shore.  During low tide we will be on the lookout for life among the rocks and in the tidal pools where crabs, mussels, grass shrimps and others abound! Wear footgear that can get wet (old sneakers work well) to protect feet from barnacles and other sharp objects and dress for the weather.

Residents (with beach stickers) meet at the Compo Cannons 1:00 PM
Nonresidents meet in the Earthplace lobby at 12:30 PM.

Fee: Free

Registration:  There is limited seating in the van for non-resident participants so call to reserve transportation to the shore. All participants are asked to pre-register by calling 227-7253.
