The first-ever Meatball Challenge of Fairfield County features meaty competition among Fairfield County restaurants.
Featuring a variety of scrumptious meatballs
from 10 area chefs, the competition will take place on June 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the
Factory Underground , located at 16 Isaac St. in Norwalk.
Hosted by Savor
Productions, the Meatball Challenge of Fairfield County will be donating a
portion of the net proceeds to Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of CT.

Chefs will face off in a friendly
ball-bout where they will prepare their unique spin on the classic meatball as
well as one savory side dish.
Competing challengers include Bar Sugo, Bobby
Q’s, Craft Butchery, David’s Soundview Catering, Have a Ball, Match, Meatball
& Co., The Local Meatball, The Spread and Strada 18.

This competition will be judged by none other than … event attendees! The Meatball
Challenge of Fairfield County guests will have the opportunity to taste each
restaurant’s balls and place their votes for the “Best (Meat)Ball” in town.
The
winning chef/restaurant is awarded $500 and takes home the prize for 2014’s
Best Balls.
Guests will quench their thirst with Two Roads Brewery as well as Perrier, San
Pellegrino sodas and Resource water to stay hydrated.
Pet Animal Welfare Society
(PAWS) of CT is a Norwalk-based nonprofit shelter dedicated to rescuing homeless animals
and placing them in loving new homes for over 50 years.
Tickets
to the inaugural Meatball Challenge of Fairfield County are limited. Entry into
the event is $60 per person and includes all the balls you can eat and beverages
