Westport Republicans' Annual Oktoberfest Candidate Meet and Greet Event

Westport residents will have a unique opportunity on Friday, October 4th to meet the Republican candidates running for Westport’s Boards and Commissions at a special meet and greet event. Voters are invited to attend the annual Oktoberfest celebration featuring authentic German food, German beer on tap, wine and soft drinks, and live music.  Among the candidates that will be on hand to meet the voters and discuss the issues are: Board of Selectman candidates Jim Marpe and Avi Kaner; Candidate for Board of Finance Jennifer Tooker; Candidates for Board of Education Michael McGovern, Jeannie Smith, and Karen Kleine; Candidate for Probate Judge Lisa Wexler; and Candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals Wally Sutherland, among others.

“This is a terrific forum where the candidates and the community can join together to have some fun while discussing the issues in advance of this important election,” noted Desiree Soli, Chairwoman of the Westport Republican Town Committee.  “We are so proud of our entire slate of candidates who are so well prepared to lead Westport forward, and we are excited for the voters to better get to know this talented group.”

The OKTOBERFEST Candidate Meet and Greet event, hosted by the Westport Republican Town Committee, will be held Friday, October 4 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Westport Woman’s Club, 44 Imperial Avenue, Westport.   The event cost is $40. Please make checks payable to: Westport RTC, P.O. Box 601, Westport, CT 06881.  For more information, contact Desiree Soli at 203-400-2773.
