Gala for Puppy Mill Rescue

A “Gala for Puppy Mill Rescue” is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th, from 5-9pm at Norfield Grange, 12 Good Hill Rd in Weston, Connecticut.  Donation fees are $25 for adults ($35 at the door) and $10 for children. Sponsored by Second Chance Animal Rescue of CT, the special event will offer beverages and appetizers, gourmet pizza by the Big Green Pizza Truck, live music by the Nat Schroeder Trio, a raffle, silent auction, and door prizes.   This year the event will feature a special live auction item – 4 days/3 nights at the Weston Beaver Creek in Avon, CO.  We will have dogs at the event who are available for adoption.  “Our goal is to buy a new transport vehicle with gala proceeds,” explained Janet Schroeder, Director of Second Chance Animal Rescue of CT.  “With a new van, we can save more than 200 dogs a month.  Through this event, and the support of the community, we will educate consumers about the terrible conditions in puppy mills and generate significant donations so that we can make a positive difference in the lives of these innocent creatures.”  Second Chance Animal Rescue of CT is a 501(c)3 registered not-for-profit organization, dedicated to rescuing dogs from Missouri puppy mills and providing them with thorough vetting, social rehabilitation, and loving adoptive homes.  To learn more or to register online for the upcoming gala, visit www.secondchanceanimalrescuect.org or send your registration and donation to:  Second Chance Animal Rescue of CT, 66 Nashville Road Ext., Bethel, CT 06801.  Call 203-981-5945 for more information.
