Share The Pie

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, The Conservative Synagogue (TCS), in cooperation with Homes with Hope (IHA), is preparing for their annual program, Share the Pie®.  The proceeds from this community fundraiser directly benefit Homes with Hope whose mission is to provide facilities and supportive services to homeless people in our area achieve an independent and self-sufficient lifestyle. This is accomplished by providing permanent affordable housing, casework and supportive services, emergency shelter, food and meals, and life skills training critical in preventing homelessness from recurring.  The proceeds also enable The Conservative Synagogue to fund many of its outreach programs.  A portion of the proceeds will also support TCS' social action efforts throughout the year.

Gourmet apple, pumpkin and pecan pies, provided by Zommick's Bakery of Cedarhust, New York are available at $20 per pie.  The Synagogue recommends that individuals and corporations can purchase these delicious holiday pies for their own Thanksgiving celebrations or as a corporate thank you gift for business associates and employees.  In addition, pies can be purchased and then donated to area shelters and organizations that will distribute the donated pies to their recipients.

Orders must be received by Wednesday, November 17th, 2010.  To order pies, please go to www.sharethepie.net or print out the form and mail to 30 Hillspoint Road, Westport, CT 06880 or fax your order to: 203-454-8888.  Ordered pies can be picked up on Tuesday, November 23 from 9:00am to 7:00pm from The Conservative Synagogue parking lot at 30 Hillspoint Road in Westport. Corporate orders of 10 or more pies can be delivered, upon request, directly to the office. For more information, please call the TCS office, 203-454-4673.
