Sunday Farmer's Market

The vendors of Sunday Farmer’s Market at Saugatuck Congregational Church are planning the opening of the 2011 Farmer’s Market season with returning regular faces including Westport’s Belta Farm and welcoming new vendors selling locally grown produce and flowers, food to go from Bistro du Soleil, eggs, honey, baked goods, plants, fresh pesto, handcrafted items, dog treats, seasonal goods and so much more.

Unique to the Sunday Farmer’s Market are the after market donations made by the Sunday Farmer’s Market vendors to the Park City Initiative of Bridgeport who return to open a mini “Market” giving more than 1,000 pounds of market goods each week to: 65 + families, Family Re-Entry and Bridgeport’s Rescue Mission. Last year 25,000 pounds of vendor donated market goods was donated to Park City Initiative, helping thousands put fresh Connecticut grown food on the table.
