Westport Fundraising Campaign Seeks Animal Rescue Vehicle

The Emergency Animal Response Service (EARS), located in Westport, is seeking to raise money for a response vehicle to be used specifically for local animal rescue needs.

According to EARS, a local business recently offered to help the organization by selling a truck from their fleet, which will instantly cut costs for the organization.

“As an organization of volunteers we must turn to our supporters, friends, and the public to help us reach our goal of obtaining this vehicle for community animal rescue response,” said Jon Nowinski of EARS.

Here’s part of what the recently launched GoFundMe page says about the fundraiser:

“The benefits of having a vehicle dedicated to assisting those with animals in need during emergencies has been made clear in past events, and combined with the training and commitment of our team, we know that this truck would greatly expand the EARS capabilities. To this end, we are asking everyone who can, to please consider contributing to our fundraiser so that we may reach our goal of purchasing this truck. All of us involved with the EARS organization, and all of the animals this truck will enable us to assist, will be forever grateful to you. No contribution is too small – as it has been said, it takes many hearts & hands of all sizes to make great things happen.”
