Westport Police Holding Annual Toy Drive

The Westport Police Department and Police Benevolent Association will sponsor their Holiday Toy Drive next month.

The annual event provides toys for underprivileged children throughout Fairfield County.

“The program has been extremely successful in the past, allowing for thousands of toys to be distributed to children who otherwise would have none,” said Sgt. Jill Ruggiero.

This year, Westport police have added “Newtown Kindness”, an organization whose mission is “to promote kindness as a guiding principle of humanity,” to the toy drive.

“We are honored to work toward such a mission with Newtown Kindness,” said Ruggiero. “We ask for your continued support and generosity to help make this year’s drive as successful as in the past.  By doing so, you will bring joy to so many children while demonstrating acts of kindness.”
