Tonight! Help influence policy on mental illness. Join us!

Tonight is Part 2 of NAMI's sponsored Community Conversations about Mental Illness, and YOU are invited to participate!

Community Conversations discussions are taking place all over the country in response to President Barack Obama's call for “national conversation(s) to increase understanding about mental health.” NAMI is the region’s leading advocate for people living with mental illness and their families, and all interested and concerned community members are encouraged to attend its two-part event.

Part 1 of the discussion took place two weeks ago, and during that lively evening topics included: What does mental health mean to me? To us as a community? What are the challenges and factors we should consider? What are our primary challenges and concerns?

Tonight's discussion we will talk about:

  • What can we do to support young people?
  • What interventions are needed?
  • What steps do we want and need to take as a community?
Community Conversations will take place at the First Congregational Church, 148 Beach Road, in Fairfield from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, November 13th. Light refreshments will be served.

Please join us for tonight's Conversation, and thanks for being part of the Solution!
