NutriGreene, a private nutrition practice, has opened in Bridge Square, Westport, CT

Westport, Connecticut - NutriGreene, a private nutrition practice, opened in Bridge Square in Westport on June 1. The practice provides nutritional guidance in weight management, eating disorders, heart disease, food allergies, prenatal and postnatal, diabetes and gastrointestinal diseases.

NutiGreene is a truly unique nutrition practice. Multiple insurance plans are accepted. Depending on your coverage and the service provided, you may only be responsible for your copay. 

NutriGreene’s innovative nutritional services include individual counseling sessions (in office, over the phone or online); Nutri-Mom (a plan to ensure mother and child receive all the important nutrients before, during, and after pregnancy); Nutri-Wedding (a nutritional plan catered to soon-to-be brides and grooms looking to slim down for their big day); Nutri-Walk (individualized counseling sessions coupled with a walk on the beach); Nutri-Market (a tour of the supermarket to teach healthy grocery shopping) and Nutri-Kitchen (makes room for nutritious food items in your pantry and refrigerator, by learning what foods should be removed).

Owner and Director, Nicole Greene Barrato, MS, RD, CDE, CDN has around 10 years of experience working as a registered dietitian.  Her education and credentials  include the following; Master of Science Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New  York University, Graduate of the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Dietetic Internship, Connecticut and New York State Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN), Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and Certificate of Training in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  She has worked at multiple private nutrition practices in Manhattan, and ran the Medically Supervised Weight Management Program at Mount Sinai Hospital prior to relocating to Fairfield County, CT. 

Dr. Robert Yanagisawa, the physician she ran the Medically Supervised Weight Management Program with, commented on Ms. Barrato’s work, “With all your hard work and dedication, so many patients have overcome their long standing difficulty of managing weight and their metabolic conditions.”
