Alleged Car Burglar Nabbed at Westport Train Station

26-year-old man charged with burglary and larceny.

Michael Vena, 26, of Stratford, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny on Oct. 18 at approximately 12:30 p.m. after officers observed him checking the door handles of several parked cars at the Saugatuck Railroad Station in Westport.

According to police, Vena told officers that he may have entered five to seven vehicles and admitted to taking a cell phone charger from one.

Vena was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 28.
