A driver was stopped February 22 after an officer observed him fail to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Cross Highway and Bayberry Lane, according to an arrest report.
Police determined that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for the driver, identified as Anthony Urbano, 58, of Orange, for an incident that took place in January where he allegedly violated a protective order, police said.
Police charged Urbano with first-degree stalking and with a criminal violation of a protective order, according to the arrest report.
He was taken into custody and later released after he posted a $25,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in State Superior Court in Norwalk March 6.
