Assault at Westport Party Leaves 18-Year-Old Unconscious

At 12:51 a.m. today, a Westport patrol officer was flagged down by a resident of 76 Hillspoint Road. The officer was directed to an unconscious 18 year-old man in the driveway suffering from facial and head trauma. The man was treated at the scene by Westport E.M.S and transported to Norwalk Hospital where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit, according to a news release.

An investigation has linked this man to an underage drinking party at 80 Hillspoint Road in Westport. The party was hosted by a freshman at Fairfield University and attended by numerous students from Fairfield, Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart Universities. 

As of this time, the police department has interviewed numerous people who attended the party and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Harsche of the Westport Police Department at 203-341-6080.
