Blotter: CVS Shoplifting Suspects Arrested

Arrests from Feb. 18-20.

The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Rogelio Maldonado, 27, of New Haven, was arrested on Feb. 18 at 9:40 a.m. on a charge of fifth-degree larceny. Maldonado is accused of shoplifting from CVS in September. Maldonado’s bail was set at $5,000 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk on Feb. 21.

A pair of Norwalk residents was charged on Feb. 18 with shoplifting from CVS in July 2010. According to the report, Timothy Prins, 43, was arrested at state Superior Court in Norwalk and Leslie Levine, 63, was apprehended by Darien police. Both were charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit a crime and interfering with an officer. Bail was set at $25,000 for Prins and $20,000 for Levine. They are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 28.

Omar Reynoso, 21, of Greenwich, was arrested on Feb. 19 at 3:13 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. His bail was set at $400 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on March 1.

John Reilly, 47, of Jesup Road, was arrested on Feb. 19 at 10:25 a.m. on a charge of failure to pay or plead. According to the report, a police officer running a vehicle registration check saw that there was a warrant for Reilly’s arrest. Reilly’s bail was set at $100 and he is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on March 1.
