Cops: Westport Man Arrested after Waving Gun During Dispute

A Westport man was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly brandished a handgun at a family member during an argument, according to police.

A Westport man was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly brandished a handgun at a family member during an argument, according to police.

Michael Palumbo, 22, of Park Lane, was charged with first-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and possession of a firearm while under the influence.

Police were called to the residence after a witness reported Palumbo and a family member were having a verbal argument culminating in Palumbo allegedly pulling out a handgun and waving it, according to the report.

Palumbo was held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Monday.
