Dog Gets Two Weeks for Biting

Unusual arrests and incidents from around Connecticut.

A man in Wilton tried petting a small Maltese dog at a CVS, but ended up with small wounds on the hand when he was according to police. OMG PD Twist: The dog was “arrested” and held for two weeks in quarantine by Wilton Animal Control, police said.

An 18-year-old man was arrested by Farmington police after he on the side of the road. Some alcohol and two underage passengers were in his vehicle at the time, said police. OMG PD Twist: The man reportedly urinated on a speed trailer set up by the police department.

Norwalk Police were called to a at Diablo Cantina in Norwalk. The boyfriend reportedly used the girlfriend's debit card three days in a row at the bar. On the third day, the girlfriend tried getting her card back, which prompted the argument, police said. OMG PD Twist: The argument happened in the bathroom and the boyfriend allegedly smashed a urinal and a toilet.

Several people were arrested after trying to steal from clothing stores at Westfield Trumbull Mall. OMG PD Twist: Several suspects put the stolen goods in in an attempt to thwart electronic security, said police. They were still caught.

Two years ago, a Norwalk man after he was pulled over for running through a red light. In 2008, he told police that he was late picking his girlfriend up for work and abruptly drove off. His speeding car allegedly weaved in and out of traffic and almost hit a state police car parked on the side of the road. Police disengaged the pursuit, but caught their man recently when he was pulled over for having an allegedly stolen license plate. OMG PD Twist: When he escaped two years ago, the man said he was going to pick up his girlfriend. This time, the girlfriend was a passenger in his car.

A trio of men at the Greenwich Apple store after employees refused to issue a refund for the products the men claimed to have bought in New Hampshire several weeks ago, police said. No charges were filed, but the three men were banned from all Apple stores. OMG PD Twist: Police said the men were trying to return 64 iPhones that had originally been purchased to resell in China.
