The Westport Police Department investigated a fatal single vehicle accident in the area of 109 Greens Farms Road at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release.
Westport FD and Westport EMS also responded to the scene.
The occupants of the vehicle were transported to Norwalk Hospital where the passenger succumbed to his injuries and the driver appears to have non-life threatening injuries. Police are withholding the names of the passenger and driver until next of kin has been notified. A police dispatcher Sunday night said police were still not identifying the individuals involved in the crash.

The investigation shows a single vehicle was traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road and lost control, striking a tree.
