Group Charged With Shoplifting in Westport

Police observed the alleged shoplifter's vehicle driving from the scene.

Three New York City residents were charged with shoplifting in Westport Thursday. 

Sharri Anderson, 43, of Bronx NY, Shauntay Williams, 30, of Manhattan, NY, and Tyrone Fox, 23, of Bronx NY, were all charged with fifth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device on Sept. 26 at approximately 6:30 p.m. 

According to police, officers responding to a reported shoplifting from CVS, 397 Post Road East, and observed a vehicle with the three individuals traveling on the same road. When officers stopped the vehicle they recovered the items taken from CVS as well as other items stolen from a nearby Walgreens Pharmacy.

All three were held in lieu of $1,000 bond and are schedule to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 7.
