According to a press release from Assistant Fire Chief Robert Kepchar, arriving units went to work evaluating the occupants of the vehicles and placing speedi-dri on the roadway to absorb spilled fluids from the vehicles.
State police monitored traffic and are in charge of the investigation. One driver was packaged by and Westport EMS and was transported to Norwalk Hospital for further evaluation. The last Fire unit left the scene just after 4:30 p.m.
