Man Charged with Bank Fraud in Westport

A Bronx, NY man was arrested early Friday in connection to fraud committed at a Westport bank a few years ago.

Meischan Mamby, 29, was charged with second-degree identity theft, third-degree larceny, and first-degree forgery relating to incidents of fraud committed at the Charles Street TD Bank location in 2010 and 2011, according to Westport Police.

Mamby was being held at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on unrelated charges. Upon his release Friday, Westport police arrested Mamby on a warrant.

He was released after posting a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 13.
