Man Charged with Luxury Boat Theft

A Florida man was arrested in connection to the theft of a luxury sport fishing boat from a family member, who lives in Westport.

Giuseppe Boccanfuso, 26, of Hallandale, Fla., was charged July 30 with first-degree larceny and three counts of second-degree forgery following a lengthy investigation into the theft of the boat, according to Westport police.

Police located Boccanfuso when he returned to Connecticut last week and arrested him on a warrant. He was released after posting a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 13.
