The owner of a used car lot in Norwalk was arrested on larceny and breach of peace charges after he allegedly accepted a Rolex watch as down payment on a car, then became abusive while refusing to return the watch when his would-be buyer backed out. OMG PD twist: The 43-year-old salesman later claimed he’d sold the watch at a flea market, and attempted to reimburse the would-be customer for the watch at less than the customer wanted. A Stamford man was arrested in Greenwich and charged with probation violation and possession of a hallucinogen after police found PCP on him. OMG PD twist: Police initially stopped the man because he allegedly shoplifted 20 deodorant bars from a CVS. More .

Shelton police were tipped off that a city man was growing marijuana in his basement, and after obtaining a search warrant, found 84 marijuana plants and automatic watering and lighting systems within the house in question, among other paraphernalia. OMG PD twist: The accused horticulturalist returned home during the search and promptly turned heel and led police on a short car chase. There was more marijuana in the car. .

Three Brooklyn women and two county men — one from Darien, another from Greenwich — were arrested following a six-week investigation into a prostitution ring operating out of an illegal massage parlor in Stamford. Operating on a tip from neighbors, police caught some of the accused in the act.
