The man failed to appear in court on several motor vehicle violations, police said.

Juan Sanchez, 31, of Meriden, turned himself into the Westport Police Department February 4 on a failure to appear warrant.

Sanchez was charged with several motor vehicle violations in August, including operating a motor vehicle under suspension, and failure to display a license plate, according to the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch website.

Sanchez posted a $2,000 bond. He is due in State Superior Court in Norwalk on February 14.
