Maple Wood Avenue Man Nabbed for Theft of Silverware
Westport police reports June 24-27
The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.
Christopher Dohme, 23, of Maple Wood Avenue was arrested via warrant and charged with third degree larceny on Friday, June 24. Police said the arrest was the result of an investigation into the theft of sterling silver silverware, valued at $3,725.04, from a Bonnie Brook Road residence that was reported on March 3. Police said the investigation uncovered that Dohme had pawned the silverware off to a precious metals dealer on March 7. Dohme was held on a $20,000 bond and his court date is pending.
Brandon Dempsky, 39, of Saugutuck Avenue was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Saturday, June 25. According to police Dempsky got into an argument with his girlfriend at Longshore Club Park that escalated when he allegedly threw a cup at her striking her in the back. Dempsky was released on a promise to appear in court on June 27 after police located him at his residence.
