Mover Accused of Stealing Gun from Westport Home

The gun was allegedly stolen when movers where moving the resident's property.

 

charged a 28-year-old Bridgeport man Friday with stealing a firearm from a Westport residence, according to an arrest report.

The handgun was stolen when the accused, identified as Samuel Rodriguez, was working for a moving company that was moving the resident’s belongings, police said.

Rodriguez turned himself in on a warrant and was charged accordingly. He was issued a $10,000 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court for arraignment August 30.
