New York Man Allegedly Breaks into Westport YMCA, Steals Cash

Desmond Anderson, 38 of White Plains, New York, was charged Friday with three counts of third-degree burglary and three counts of sixth-degree larceny after an arrest warrant was served on Anderson at Norwalk Superior Court for the above charges, according to police.

This arrest stems from an incident in July where Anderson was identified from video surveillance at the YMCA for forcibly breaking into the lockers and stealing cash, police said.

He was issued $25,000 bond and held at Norwalk Court for arraignment April 30.
