NJ Woman Arrested for Forging Drug Prescriptions

Westport police arrested a 31-year-old New Jersey woman by warrant Wednesday following a drug investigation that went on for several weeks.

Nadine Mahmoud was charged with third-degree forgery, obtaining controlled drugs by fraud and possession of a controlled substance.

She turned herself in after falsifying doctor’s prescriptions for narcotics, police said.

Mahmoud was released on $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
