Norwalk Fugitive Wanted in Alabama Held on $300,000 Bond

Westport police reports: Feb. 13-15

Amber Jean-Louis, 25, of 18 Adamson Avenue, Norwalk, was charged with being a fugitive from justice Feb. 14. Jean-Louis was stopped on a motor vehicle stop on Post Road East after an officer ran the registration plate of the vehicle she was operating and it came back as a possible wanted person out of Alabama for being a fugitive from justice, which is an extraditable warrant. The operator, Jean-Louis, matched the descriptors of the wanted person. After the warrant was confirmed, she was taken into custody and held over night pending her arraignment in Norwalk Superior Court this morning. The original charges were failure to appear and obstructing justice.
