Numerous DUIs Handed Out in Westport

Accidents, sleeping drivers, speeding lead to several DUIs.

Darren Hill, 41, of Bethel, was charged with DUI, failure to drive in the proper lane, and failure to illuminate lights on Oct. 17 at approximately 2 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically and without headlights on Riverside Ave.

Hill was released on $1,500 bond and is schedule to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 25.

Brian Decaro, 44, of Weston, was charged with DUI and failure to drive in established lane on Oct. 13 at approximately 1:20 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically on Main Street.

Decaro was released on $500 bond and is schedule to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 23.

William Hernandez, 27, of Bridgeport, was charged with DUI on Oct. 13 at approximately 3:50 a.m. after police observed him sleeping in his vehicle with the engine on at Wedgewood Road.

Hernandez was released on $500 bond and is schedule to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 24.

Carter King, 25, of Weston, was charged with DUI and traveling unreasonably fast on Oct. 19 at approximately 1:08 a.m. after police observed him driving 51mph in a 25mph zone.

King was released on $500 bond and is schedule to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Oct. 31.
