A Stamford waitress faces fraud charges after police arrested her for  from unsuspecting patrons.

A 15-year-old New Canaan boy was from an Airsoft gun as he rode his bike in downtown New Canaan. The boy was riding with a friend when he heard a loud pop and felt a pain in his lower back. The friend looked and found a BB “just under the skin," police said. After police spoke to the boys they determined where they shot had come from. Their investigation led to a 17-year-old who told police he was trying to hit a pole when he accidentally hit the boy.

An 18-year-old Westport man was arrested Sept. 5  whereby during an argument, he grabbed the family member’s cell phone and threw it to the ground as he attempted to call 911, according to police. When the family member said he was going to police headquarters to report it, the man blocked his exit by using a large paint extension pole and then began to strike him with the pole causing several non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The man was charged with second-degree assault and interfering with an emergency call.

At 3:30 p.m. last Tuesday, . Apparently, while the store’s employee was chatting with another customer, at least one of the men, allegedly, darted into the back room and swiped $7,500 worth of iPhones, Androids and Android tablets. The men then wandered out of the store. Surveillance tape is under review.

A Redding man was charged with creating a public disturbance after he got upset at his neighbor for doing work at his house. Redding Police intervened in another quarrel between the two a few days later, but no charges were filed.

A Stamford resident attempted to extort $200 from a man he robbed of his Sprint Blackberry, and then eluded police by giving them a false name, address, and phone number.

"On Aug. 27, an individual told us that his cellphone, a Sprint Blackberry, was stolen at Papa's Pizza. On Aug. 30, he reported that he got a call from someone claiming to have his stolen phone," SPD Sgt. Dispagna said. The suspect and victim arranged a money-for-phone trade, and police accompanied the victim to the meeting.

When police intervened, the suspect identified himself as "Michael Williams", and told the police that he would retrieve the cell phone from his residence. It wasn't until "Michael" was gone that police discovered "Michael Williams" did not exist.

Police later tracked "Michael" down, arrested him, and identified him as Marlon Absolom, 29, of Stamford. He is being held on $5,000 bond, and returned the Blackberry to its owner.
