The latest crime reports from the Westport Police Department.

  • Cesar Palacios of Norwalk, 42, was arrested Thursday on a larceny charge. He was seen driving eastbound on Post Road East without a front license plate. When the officer ran his plate on his computer, he found the rear plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Bridgeport. The stolen plate was confirmed with Bridgeport PD. Palacios was also found to have a suspended license and was also charged with numerous motor vehicle charges, according to a police report.
  •  John Valiante, 21, of Westport was arrested Thursday on a charge of failure to appear. An officer saw him in the parking lot of 924 Post Road East and knew there were three active warrants out for his arrest. He was taken into custody without incident.
  • Sergio Dejesus of Bridgeport, 34, was arrested Friday on a charge of failure to appear. He turned himself in because of an active warrant  out for his arrest. The original case was in July for various motor vehicle charges. Dejesus was processed without incident.
