Police Blotter: Aug. 17

Three arrests were made.

Steve Martone, 42, of Branford, was arrested after a roadside fight apparently caused because of a traffic jam. According to the report, Martone, a driver of a box truck, punched another driver in the face on Tuesday afternoon. The confrontation began because of a traffic jam, according to police. Martone was charged with third-degree assault and breach of peace. He was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 27.

Peter Mousa, 21, of Stamford, was arrested on Aug. 17 at 7:14 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. According to the report, Mousa turned himself in at Westport police headquarters. He was wanted for failing to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 14 for unspecified motor vehicle charges. Mousa was released on a promise to appear in court on Aug 25.

Meredith Greene, 20, of Vineyard Lane, was arrested on Aug. 17 at 11:57 p.m. on charges of driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane. According to the report, police saw Greene driving over the double yellow centerline on Post Road East. She was pulled over and police reported that her speech was slurred and she was unsteady on her feet. She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Greene's bail was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 26.
