Police Blotter: Suspected Cocaine Dealer Arrested

Police reports from Nov. 30-Dec. 3.

The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

All it took was one broken headlight for Westport police to nab a suspected cocaine dealer. According to the report, Dudley Epps, 24, of Bridgeport, was pulled over on Dec. 2 and the officers noted that he "gave evasive and conflicting answers to their questions." Epps was patted down, and police found a "large amount of cash." A search of the vehicle revealed scales and small bags containing cocaine. Epps was charged with sale of narcotics and possession of narcotics. His bail was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 13.

A suspected car thief was arrested months after he allegedly went on a June joyride involving two stolen vehicles and a crash into a Westport building. According to the report, Ricardo Crossman, 19, of Stamford, stole a vehicle in Stamford and drove to the Saugatuck area. He reportedly fled on foot after crashing the car and stole another car parked on Bridge Street. He was arrested on Dec. 1 in Norwalk Superior Court, where he was appearing on unrelated charges. He was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, evading responsibility, reckless driving and disobeying an officer. He was held in custody.

Samuel Gonzalez, 20, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Dec. 2 at 12:22 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear. According to the report, Gonzalez turned himself in at the Westport Police Department on a warrant. He was wanted for failing to appear in court on numerous misdemeanors in June. His bail was set at $2,500 and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec.13.

Melissa Panick, 48, and David Hackett, 47, of Caccamo Lane, were arrested on Nov. 30 at 11:50 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct. According to the report, the couple was involved in a domestic dispute. They were both released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 1.

Thomas Maloney, 48, of Norwood Lane, was arrested on Dec. 3 at 2:20 a.m. on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. According to the report, Maloney was spotted sleeping in his idling car at the Saugatuck train station parking lot. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Maloney's bail was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 13.

Christopher Dohme, 23, of Norwalk was arrested on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. on a charge of breach of peace. According to the report, Dohme sent his father an e-mail that police described as "threatening." Police learned that Dohme was on his way to his father's house in Westport and he was arrested once he arrived. He was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 13 Dohme arrived at the house with Julie Ruza, 23, of Jennings Court. Several wax paper folds of heroin and a syringe were found on her. She was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 13.

John Threshie, 56, of Woodhill Road, was arrested on Dec. 4 at 12:16 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct. According to the report, Threshie was involved in a domestic dispute. He was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 6.
