Police Make Quick Arrest In Home Burglary

Suspect located in Bridgeport.

Westport Police arrested a woman Friday night for allegedly burglarizing a Sniffen Road home earlier in the evening.

In a news release, police said the resident returned home at about 5:45 p.m. and discovered the break-in. Witnesses provided police with a description of a young, white female seen in the area carrying two black suitcases.

Detectives learned the woman left the area in a taxi and went to a Bridgeport address.

At approximately 9 p.m., the release says, the suspect was located in Bridgeport and found to be in possession of the suitcases containing the items taken from the home.

Teresa C. Dalessio, 21, of Norwalk, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and violation of a protective order.

She was held on $25,000 bond and given a court date of March 7.
