Gregory Gabriele, 43, of Westport, was charged with fourth-degree larceny on Jan. 20 at approximately 5:49 p.m.
According to police, Gabriele allegedly stole copper downspouts from a home in Westport. Gabriele was arrested in Norwalk at Lajoies Scrap Yard after surveillance photos at the scene showed Gabriele removing the items from the home, according to police.
Once in custody, Gabriele admitted to stealing the items, according to police.

Gabriele was released on $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Jan. 30.
