Police: Woman Left Child in Car With Crack Pipe in Westport

Eleanor Cobb, 49, of Bridgeport, was charged with risk of injury to a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and sixth-degree larceny on Dec. 4 at approximately 7:30 p.m.

According to police, officers were dispatched to a report of a child left unattended in a motor vehicle. Upon arrival a four-year-old child was located in the vehicle while Cobb was shopping in a nearby store. Cobb admitted she had been drinking and had a “crack pipe” in the vehicle. Officers determined that she had also shoplifted from Walgreen’s on Post Road East in Westport. 

Cobb was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 13.
