Driver Hospitalized After Hitting Tree, Flipping Car in Westport

The car ended up on its roof after striking a tree.

 

Westport Firefighters responded to a one-vehicle rollover accident on Eno Lane. at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, according to Westport Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Kepchar.

The car ended up on its roof after striking a tree, Kepchar said. The driver of the vehicle was out of the vehicle when emergency personnel arrived. The driver was then evaluated, placed on a long board and turned over to Westport EMS for transport to Norwalk Hospital, he said.

The car was prepared for towing by Firefighters and spilled fluids were cleaned up. Westport police handled traffic while the car was towed. The last Westport Fire Department unit left the scene at 4:16 p.m., Kepchar said.
