Norwalk police arrested a 36-year-old city man who forced a temporary halt to filming of Showtime’s “The Big C” in SoNo by reportedly on the set. A snow-making machine had into Minneapolis in winter—the setting needed for the shoot. Police say the arrested man had become angry at an officer who told him not to enter the production’s staging area, placing his hands over his crotch and cursing.

Also in Norwalk, a 29-year-old barber was arrested after allegedly stabbing his boss with a pair of scissors following an argument over a haircut.

According to police, the barber had refused to cut a customer’s hair, prompting the shop’s owner to tell him to leave. The 29-year-old man, later found to be an illegal immigrant and now potentially , is accused of then attacking his boss. The victim was said to be hospitalized and in satisfactory condition later the same night.

In Greenwich, police say a 39-year-old town man caught the eye of an officer who spotted him while driving. According to police, it's not uncommon for people to cut or hollow out an apple to use for smoking illicit drugs. In this case, the man is accused of smoking marijuana out of the fruit, and he now faces drug charges.

An unruly customer at a popular New Canaan eatery is accused of outside the restaurant and dragging it along the sidewalk. The restaurant’s owner reportedly declined to press charges when police eventually caught up to the customer, asking only that the person be told never to return. Police say someone re-placed the plant.

Police nabbed a 42-year-old Stamford woman on drug charges after a visitor to a men’s room at a Walgreen’s pharmacy in Old Greenwich allegedly with a bottle containing a narcotic and a hyprodermic needle. Police said later that the liquid inside the bottle was lidocaine.

Police arrested a 31-year-old city man on charges of patronizing a prostitute after he reportedly .

The man reportedly apologized and left the scene after the woman’s husband came outside and asked what was going on. Police say the offended woman phoned them.

In Fairfield, police say a town resident an 18-year-old Norwalk man that the homeowner thought was trying to break into his house. Officers apparently did not believe the teen was trying to burglarize the man's house, because no burglary charges were filed—he was charged with breach of peace. The teen reportedly told police he had been drinking at a party in Westport, and his car was parked a half-mile away from the house where he apparently started making noise around 5:30 a.m., prompting the homeowner to act.

Police said the homeowner had a right to have a gun. "You don't need a permit to have a gun in your home; only to carry it," said Police Sgt. Sue Lussier, a department spokesman. "People are much more prepared these days. There's a lot of guns in Fairfield."
