Stamford Woman Arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
An officer observed 61 year-old Rosita Moreno driving without displaying lights and traveling on the wrong side of the road, according to police.
A Stamford woman was arrested on Saturday after an officer observed that she was driving under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
Rosita Moreno, 61, of 35 Maple Tree Avenue, was observed traveling north on Riverside Ave with no headlights illuminated, police said. She was then observed traveling on the wrong side of the road and crossing over the double yellow lines.
Once stopped, the officer detected the odor of alcohol on Moreno's breath and she failed the field sobriety tests that he administered to her, police said. She submitted to the breath test with the following results: 0.1375 and 0.1329.
Moren was charged with operating under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, failure to display lights and failure to drive right. She posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on April 30.
