Three Car Accident on I-95 South Sends One to Hospital
Early morning accident involved three vehicles, one with boat trailer.
A three-car accident that occurred on I-95 south between exits 18 and 17 early Friday morning reportedly resulted in one of the drivers being transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to a report from the Westport Fire Department, firefighters, Westport EMS and state police responded to the accident at about 1:17 a.m. On arrival, responders reportedly found three vehicles and a sailboat trailer on the right side of the highway with heavy damage.
The driver of one of the vehicles complained of minor injuries and was transported to Norwalk Hospital by Westport EMS, the report states.

According to the report, Westport Service Center removed two of the vehicles and the large sailboat trailer using a large tow truck and two flatbed wreckers. The third vehicle was able to drive away. A spill of approximately five gallons of gasoline was absorbed with Speedi-Dri with a small amount entering a storm drain.
Firefighters reportedly cleared the scene at about 2:45 a.m.
