Three Vehicle Accident Shuts Down Weston Road
It was third serious reported car accident of the day.
An SUV apparently rammed into a smaller car in a three car accident in the area of 49 Weston Road on Monday evening. Two drivers were hospitalized. It was the third serious accident the Westport Fire Department responded to that day.
According to the fire department, the emergency call was received at 7:53 p.m. Two of the three drivers were transported to Norwalk Hospital by Westport Emergency Services, and the third refused hospitalization. The road was closed for two and a half hours as the scene was cleared. The Westport Police Department is investigating the accident, according to a press release.
