Two women were charged with driving under the influence in Westport this weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, Heidi Beri, 46, of Trumbull, was reportedly discovered passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle on Charles Street. Police said she failed field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Beri was released from custody after posting bond is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 27.
Jillian O'Hare, 26, of Norwalk, was arrested Sunday night after allegedly committing a motor vehicle violation, police said. After initiating a motor vehicle stop, the responding officer detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on O'Hare. She reportedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged driving under the influence.
O'Hare was further charged with failure to obey a traffic signal. She was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 28.
