Weston Resident Targeted in Attempted Robbery Outside Westport CVS

The woman was confronted by a thin, white male standing outside the store shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

As the victim walked into the parking lot of the store , the suspect followed her and grabbed her handbag strap, pulling her to the ground in an attempt to take it from her.

The suspect, dressed in dark pants and a grey hooded sweatshirt, let go of the victim and got in the passenger side of a nearby vehicle after she screamed for help, according to police.

The victim was knocked to the ground and dragged a short distance, however she declined medical treatment.  She was unable to give any type of description of the suspect vehicle.  Security tape was secured at the scene and still photos of the suspect were taken from video surveillance.
