Although the accused driver fled the scene, Westport police responded to the complaint and located the man parking lot just after 3 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Police received a report that the driver allegedly yelled at another motorist while at and took off in his car.
Police located the man at a marina parking lot less than a mile from the town golf course. When the suspect exited his vehicle he was unsteady on his feet and the officer detected alcohol on his breath, police said.
The man failed the field sobriety test and was taken into custody. He agreed to submit to a breath test with the following results: 0.083 and 0.077, according to the police report.

charged 56-year-old Samuel Stein, of 275 Compo Road South, Westport, with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and driving the wrong way.
Stein was released on a $1000 surety bond. He is due in Norwalk Superior court August 14.
