The man was initially arrested following a domestic dispute Friday at about 8 p.m., and then officers learned he had several warrants for his arrest, according to an arrest report.
The suspect was allegedly involved in a similar domestic dispute in December, police said.
Westport police charged 32-year-old Kaihyll West, of 33 Hales Court, Westport, with third-degree assault, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief disorderly conduct, third-degree burglary, breach of peace, and second-degree failure to appear, police said. He was also charged two probation violations.
West was unable to post a $22,500 bond for all of his charges. He was held prior to his arraignment in State Superior Court in Norwalk.
