Westport Man Found With Bags of Marijuana, Arrested

The arresting officer found a jar of loose marijuana, 14 individual glassine baggies of marijuana and paraphernalia in the suspect's possession, police said.

 

While investigating a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday a Westport police officer located marijuana residue throughout the entire vehicle, and the officer could smell marijuana within the vehicle, police said.

The driver, 21-year-old Ian Parker, of Westport, told officers that he had marijuana in his backpack, according to the police report.

The officer found a jar of loose marijuana, 14 individual bags of marijuana and paraphernalia in the bag, police said.

Parker was taken into custody and charged with sale of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the arrest report.

A $2,500 bond was initially set, but it was later dropped to a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 30.
