When responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning they found the vehicle on top of a stone wall in between two trees.
While speaking with the driver the officer smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed that his eyes were glassy, and that he slurred his speech, according to the police report. The man was taken into custody after failing a field sobriety test.
The driver, identified as 34-year-old Wesley Morrow, of 1 Spring Hill Road, took the breath test with the following results: .224 and .208.
Police charged Morrow with DUI, failure to drive in the proper lane, insurance coverage fails minimum coverage and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Morrow performed a breath test with the following results: 224 and .208.
Morrow later posted a $500 bond and was released. He is due in court July 31.
