Westport PD: Car, Money, Computer Stolen in Residential Burglary

Sometime between 4 and 6 a.m. Sunday morning a Devon Road home was burglarized, police said.

 

Though nobody in the residence heard anything during the night, an intruder entered home through an unlocked back door in the early morning hours, according to Sgt. Richard Frazier of the .

The victims reported at 6:19 a.m. Sunday that someone burglarized their home and stole a purse and a Hewlett Packard laptop computer and fled the scene in their grey Honda Civic sedan, Frazier said.

The purse was discovered outside the residence along with a set of car keys. $25 in cash was taken from the purse, Frazier said. 

Anyone who has information regarding the burglary should contact the Westport Police Department at (203) 341-6082.  Anyone who has seen the grey Honda Civic bearing license plate 561-YVT should dial 911 or call their local Police Department.
