After a Weston homeowner interrupted a man entering his car at his 40 Lyons Road home, were called in to track down the suspect.

A Westport police officer located a man who matched the description of the alleged burglar while riding a bicycle on North Avenue in Westport just after 4 a.m., according to Westport Police Sergeant Michael Hayes.

Moments later Westport police located a vehicle parked in the area of Meadow View Drive. Through an investigation, police determined that the driver, Jessica N. Jacobs, 28, of New Haven, was waiting to pick up the suspect, Hayes said.

After an extensive search of the area both Westport and Weston police were unable to locate the man. The Westport Police Department is actively investigating the incident and is attempting to locate and identify the suspect.

Westport police charged Jacobs with sixth-degree larceny, criminal trespassing and interfering with a police officer. She was issued a $10,000 bond and is due in court July 11.
